5 numbers you need to control
Too many owners and coaches focus on the wrong numbers.
Focus your team on these 5 things and watch your profits increase!
1. Occupancy
This one's a no brainer: if you're not getting as many bookings as you can, you're leaving cash on the table.
How is this calculated? Occupancy is the % of white space in your team's diary. How many of their seats are empty with no bums on them?
Based on average appointments per month of 296 and average bill of £55
2. Cancellations
The average salon loses £2,500 every month. Guess who’s still paying the rent, wages, utilities, even though that slot is now empty? You! Can you afford it?
How is it calculated? The total number of cancelled appointments divided by the total number of appointments.
Based on average appointments per month of 296 and average bill of £55
3. Average Bill
Pricing is the foundation of your business. Profit or loss starts here. Then you need the tools to upsell retail, second services, and vouchers. Let us do the heavy lifting for you!
How is Average Bill calculated? The total amount of revenue you receive, divided by the total number of payments you receive from clients.
Based on average appointments per month of 296 and average bill of £55
4. Rebookings
The easiest way to fill your diary is rebooking every client - this is something of a mantra at Slick HQ!
How is this calculated? The % of clients that have rebooked within X time of their previous appointment.
Based on average appointments per month of 296 and average bill of £55
5. Visit Frequency
Is Mrs Smith coming in every 8-11 weeks or every 20? That’s a BIG difference to revenue. We have all the tricks and tips to prompt clients to book in their proper cycles - we want them looking fresh, right?!
How is this calculated? The number of weeks between visits irrespective of whether they visit for a colour, a cut or a fringe trim.
Based on 500 clients and average bill of £55
